NEW BIKE

Thank you for purchasing your bike from Bike Force Docklands. We are one of Melbourne's largest premium bicycle shops with a Pro Workshop. You have purchased a very fine bicycle and we have built your bike with care.

Each bike has a serial number located underneath the bottom bracket. You will need to keep record of this number as it is a unique number which identifies your bike. We recommend you keep your proof of purchase, take a photo with your bike and keep your serial number in a safe place for police & insurance purposes. We also recommend you to register your bike for warranty as soon as possible. (See links below)

If you want more information about your bike, read the "Bike Manual".

For both Road bikes and Commuter bikes, we offer a free first service which expires 6 weeks after the purchase date. We encourage you to ride your new bike as often as possible, before the first service. When you come in, we can attend to any issues that is specific to your riding style and also adjust the new cables on rim brake bikes which has stretch on riding . We also want to ensure everything is running smoothly and be confident that your bike is giving you the best riding experience.

After that, we recommend you get your bike serviced with us. Regular servicing is the cheapest and most effective way to ensure your bike runs smoothly and any issues can be addressed to prevent costly repairs in the future.

It is important to note, all bike shops can service your bike. If you are handy with tools, you can service your bike yourself too! Your bike will still run, however if you want it to run smoothly and tuned perfectly, there lies the art of a expert mechanic. You have purchased a premium bike and with regular servicing, it should always run like a new bike.

Like all service industries, different bike workshops have different standards of care, attention to details and expertise. Our Pro-workshop have extremely high standards and mechanics with experience on all levels of bikes.

Due to wear & tear, as a rough guide, we recommend a bike service every 6-8 months or every 3000km-4000kms for daily riders. More often if you do more kilometers. If you ride twice a week or less, then a bike service every 12 months should be adequate. See the description & prices of our Bike Services.

Between services, we encourage you to routinely clean your bike and to lube your chain. We encourage your to use a quality lube. Lubing your chain will ensure your shifting is smooth and reduce the wear of the chain, cassette and chain ring. It would ensure you get maximum life from your drive train without needing a costly replacements before they are due!

Make us your Local Bike Shop. Let us help you get the most out of your ride, understand your riding style and needs. Let us attend to the after care of your bike and you can focus the best bit, enjoying your ride! Be a part of our growing Docklands Cycling Community made up of customers from the store.

If you think we can improve our service, have any feedback or had a good experience - please let us know! If it is not too much trouble, give us a review on Facebook or Google.

If at any stage you have questions or need assistance, don't hesitate to ask, we are here to help!

Once again, we thank you for your purchase and see you at your first service!
